How to book an urgent or routine

To book a telephone or face-to-face appointment please use our online service, eConsult.

Our doctors will review your online form so we can arrange the most appropriate care for you from the most suitable person or service. You’ll receive a response from our practice team on the same day if submitted before 6:30 pm.

If you cannot fill out the online form yourself or don’t have access to a smartphone or the internet, please call us on 020 7833 9939. Our reception team will be happy to take your details over the phone so we can arrange an appropriate appointment.


Interpreting services

We will arrange interpreters for non-English speakers or for those who use British Sign Language.
Please let our reception team know if you need an interpreter.


Home visits

We understand that some patients may be housebound and unable to visit the clinic.

If you feel you need a home visit, please call us before 11 am on 020 7833 9939, and a clinician will call you to make a telephone assessment before visiting.


Cancel an appointment

If for any reason you are late or unable to attend your appointment, we ask that you let us know as early as possible in advance. This is so we can offer your appointment to another patient who may urgently need it. Please telephone the practice on 020 7833 9939 to cancel or change your appointment or use the NHS App using the link below.

Talking Therapy

iCope provides free talking therapy to adults for problems such as stress, worry, depression and insomnia.

You can also discuss a referral with your doctor or nurse. Referrals can also be arranged with the practice’s counsellor.

Before your appointment

Please use ear drops or olive oil to soften the wax in your ear for 5-7 days to help facilitate the removal process

The Health Visitors now run the baby clinic at Bingfield Health Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays. We offer childhood immunisation clinics on a Monday afternoon.

Minor Surgery Services

Dr. Ben Smith, who has been approved by the North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB), provides these services (removal of minor lumps and moles) on Thursday mornings.

To book an appointment for Minor Surgery, it is necessary to be referred by your GP. This ensures that the procedure is appropriate for your specific needs. Your doctor will assess your condition and determine if Minor Surgery is the right course of action for you.

Pregnancy Services

Antenatal (Pregnancy) and Midwifery Care

From the early stages of pregnancy to postnatal care, we offer comprehensive services tailored to meet your individual needs.

To make an appointment with your regular GP or UCH midwife, please call 020 3447 9567.

The midwife is available every Wednesday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm to see patients who are giving birth at UCH.

We understand that every pregnancy is different, and we are committed to providing you with the care you need to have a healthy and safe pregnancy.

NHS Health Check

NHS Health Checks

We believe that prevention is better than cure. The NHS Health Check is available to all patients aged 40 to 74. It’s a comprehensive assessment aimed at identifying people who may have a higher risk of heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and strokes. We want to help you reduce these risks and improve your health.

During the health check you’ll be asked a few simple questions, have your height, weight, and blood pressure measured, and undergo a blood test.

Based on the results, you’ll receive personalised advice on minimizing your risk of developing these conditions.

Practice Nurses

The practice nurses offer travel health advice, vaccinations, dressings, stitch removal, advice on healthy living, stopping smoking, health checks, cervical smears, spirometry, ECG, hypertension/ diabetes/ asthma management and sexual health advice.

Health Care Assistants (HCA)

Our health care assistants provide a range of services including NHS Checks, ear syringing, stitch removal, and healthy living advice including stopping smoking They also work alongside the nurses to help manage long term conditions like COPD and diabetes.

Non NHS Services

Private Medical Examinations

Medical examinations for special purposes such as pre-employment, fitness to travel, elderly drivers, fitness to undertake sports etc., will require longer than a routine appointment.

These examinations do not form part of NHS Services, you will be charged for any such examination; please check the fee chargeable page here before arranging any such examination.

Please inform the receptionist when arranging such appointments.

Private Work Fees

The NHS provides free health care for most people.

It is important to understand that GPs are self employed and not all of the services we provide are covered by the NHS payments to the practice.

Please expect a fee for non NHS services. The staff or your doctor should inform of any charges before carrying out non NHS work.

We also offer private medicals which may be needed by any agency such as your employer or for overseas visa applications. Please contact the Practice Manager for further details.

Medication Reviews

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, pharmacist or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.  A notification should appear on your repeat slip.

You may also be required to do regular blood tests to ensure your treatment is safe and effective.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment for your medication review to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
